June 19, 2019
Today, a kick-off meeting was held on the project "I want to work, who can help me? Strengthening the cooperation between policy makers and the non-profit sector in return to work of persons with health conditions" at which the Central European Labor Studies Institute, SGI and the University of South- Eastern Norway (USN) discussed the project's research and dissemination activities.
Steffen Torp from USN presented key measures to employ disabled people in Norway, including how the public sector can work with companies to adapt working conditions for the disabled. Researchers will be working on the project for the next 18 months, with a special focus on the employment of Roma and Roma with disabilities and homeless people. Research will provide findings and recommendations for more effective integration of the disadvantaged in the labor market.
The project was supported by Active Citizens Fund - Slovakia.
